You're Guard
He looks into you're eyes like he cares for you
He smiles that gentle smile stroking you're cheek
You let him hold you, letting him in
Allowing you to let you're guard down
It all works so well.. For now..
He kisses you like it means something
He shows you that he cares.
Not allowing it to slip
You let you're feelings grow and grow for him
Yet you keep silent about them
You think all is great and you are happy
Smiling, laughing, living.
Until one day, he changes, as if he never cared
As if it never ment anything
You breathe and put on you're strong face
You're fake smile, nodding in understanding
When alone you wonder what is wrong with you
You sit going over it all in you're head
Until you can't eat, barely sleeping
Not dreaming, not living.
You had flown, only yet to fall hard once more
You scream in you're head that you can't take anymore
Just wishing for it all to finally end.
Thinking about taking it into you're own hands
Only remembering you have to remain strong
So you block you're feelings away
Putting you're guard up even higher and stronger then before
Scared to let yourself feel anything again
All you do is fake you're smile, you're laugh
You're life. You lock yourself away thinking this will help
So people can't hurt you, when infact you are hurting yourself.
