Something died
Gray-blue diagonal slash
Across the dark
The deep dream
The black stage where my thoughts are the plays
Your face flashes like pictures in frames,
You're gone, but it's okay.
A hint of red. A dash of hope
But hope that's dashed won't help me cope
I stood in the highway and the truck banked in time
I'd take your heart just so you would take mine
My chest is so heavy, I hate when you cry
Shock and awe and horrified, something died
And all at once I laugh. My wings are back.
Across the dark
The deep dream
The black stage where my thoughts are the plays
Your face flashes like pictures in frames,
You're gone, but it's okay.
A hint of red. A dash of hope
But hope that's dashed won't help me cope
I stood in the highway and the truck banked in time
I'd take your heart just so you would take mine
My chest is so heavy, I hate when you cry
Shock and awe and horrified, something died
And all at once I laugh. My wings are back.
