WHY????

As the little girl walked into the room,
she didn't know what to expect,
they said she shouldn't look at the machines,

When she seen her mother laying down on the bed,
so cold and white,
not moving not talking,
she whispers to her mother hoping she can at least hear,
she says "please don't leave me,"

The only reaction the little girl receives is a blink,
nothing more,
her eyes flood with tears as she just looks at her mom,
hoping and wondering when they can finally leave this place,

The room is so blank and white with beeping machines all around,
the little girl stands next to the bed holding her mother's hand,
as the final beep is released into the air and a long wierd sound is let out,
a few moments later the doctors say "she is gone,"

The little girl wonders what has happened,
she turns to the doctor and asks "when can I see my mommy?"
no one replies all they do is look at her and cry,
she asks "why is everyone crying?"
the only response she hears is
"your mommy is in a better and more peacful place now."
