galaxies
As the night sky opened up
And stars blinked starry nights,
I walked the galaxies, gone,
From the loud cars and city street lights.
And along the way I met many stars,
So many whom set a fire in me.
And of the trillions of all the sparks,
You were the one who shined most brightly.
And then all the stars stopped blinking
All the planets stopped revolving.
And then I was thinking,
I feel my heart dissolving.
Is this the end,
Of what I've lived up to?
Is the the beginning,
Of where I've ended to?
Then I saw all the stars fade,
Every one of them.
And the last star was you,
The only one who truly stayed.
And I realized,
I don't need a bunch of stars
To show me love
For I've already found it: in your arms.
And stars blinked starry nights,
I walked the galaxies, gone,
From the loud cars and city street lights.
And along the way I met many stars,
So many whom set a fire in me.
And of the trillions of all the sparks,
You were the one who shined most brightly.
And then all the stars stopped blinking
All the planets stopped revolving.
And then I was thinking,
I feel my heart dissolving.
Is this the end,
Of what I've lived up to?
Is the the beginning,
Of where I've ended to?
Then I saw all the stars fade,
Every one of them.
And the last star was you,
The only one who truly stayed.
And I realized,
I don't need a bunch of stars
To show me love
For I've already found it: in your arms.
