The Magic in Autumn
I can smell the sweet scent of autumn leaves blowing all around me, some landing on the tip of my boots while others randomly fall here and there, just about anywhere they could stick themselves.
I inhale the intoxicating fragrances of apple, pears and pumpkin spice wafting alongside me as I venture throught the village, immersing my senses further with the delightful smells of freshly baked holiday breads coming from local bakery as I travel about, on NYC streets, on a crisp October afternoon like this. it’s pure magic
Holiday and Fall decorations hang in many windows of houses and businesses, in hopes of catching a glance of those in-tune with the spirit world.
I turn into Central Park, I am enchanted. Beautiful yellow, red and orange falling leaves are gently cascading everywhere as far as eyes can see. I stop at Dunkin'donuts to grab a nice hot cup of the best coffee ever, "YUM!"
I finish my coffee an tip my cup into a trash barrel then jump into a huge pile of fluffy autumn leaves seemingly waiting personally just for me. I loose myself completely; laying on back I look up into the sky while making an angel with my arms, like we did in the snow when we were kids. My body is surrounded by all that is Autumn
Stars begin to twinkle as they peek out from their long day of slumber just waiting for their chance to sprawl across the night-sky for all to see. And then, at that very moment in time I realize how lucky I am to be alive...
