In mother’s womb I was claustrophobic.
 I think that’s why elevators
 scared the shit out of me; I was afraid
 to fall but too stubborn to give up.

See, that’s why they called it
 juvenile delinquency–
it was the act of not
 giving up that scared
 them half to death.
