Ego

She left her jacket in the rain
she dropped it and ran right away
She's not the one you wanted
but she's the one who showed up.

You're just another sad boy
you've got a laundry list for why.
You think that you're sensitive
Because that one time you cried.

I think your head is spinning off
I think your ego is too big.
I don't know why you're asking me
what I think but since you did
you can hide in as many hearts as you can
you're still as alone as you've ever been.

She left her earrings on your floor
so you'd call her back for some more.
She's not the one you wanted
but she's the one who showed up.

You've got a dead battery
You've got two cans tied with string.
You say, "I don't know, I don't know"
and you call that communicating.

I think your head is spinning off
I think your ego is too big.
I don't know why you're asking me
what I think but since you did
you can hide in as many hearts as you can
you're still as alone as you've ever been

You call me, and I don't pick up
you text me but I don't reply
you want me, but I don't care now
you call her, she thinks you're the guy.

I think your head is spinning off
I think your ego is too big.
I don't know why you're asking me
what I think but since you did
you can hide in as many hearts as you can
you're still as alone as you've ever been
