Was just one year since when we met
Been through so much, wont give up yet
Rocky starts are built to last
Smooth starts sometimes let up fast
We have lived the highs and lows
The strain on us, oh yes it shows
But give up, is not what ill do
Do you know why? Coz i love you
I look into your big brown eyes
It breaks my heart to say goodbyes
Your hand i hold and say "we fit"
That spark we shared, the fires lit
I hear your voice like harps a playing
I take in all the words your saying
I stand with you with so much pride
This heart of mine you hold inside
Your soul which is, entwined in mine
To write my poem, was a sign
I asked of God, please send me him
My dream man who's, not filled with sin
And there you were, built in the flesh
My poem, prayer, my biggest wish
You took me in your arms so strong
I messed up bad, i done so wrong
No regret i ever felt,
Left on my heart the deepest whelt
I love you more, than did before
I hate when you, walk out my door
I love you Rick, and this you know
Till day i die, to you ill show
How much i honour, who you are
Throughout this year, youve come so far
One whole year it would have been
If only in my faults id seen
