~The War~
So much madness
Swarming in my head
I'm beginning to trust
The monster under my bed
The pain holds me down
Memories pull me back
Late at night I wish
For this world to fade to black
My heart has been shattered
Time, and time again
For once in my life
I might just win
My battle has been fought
The day was lost
Night only remains
My soul was what it cost
I give them all up
One by one
I'll end all the pain
Through the barrel of a gun

I can feel the desperation in this piece, great write.

Love the very first section, end of innocent thoughts summed up in two lines. the whole piece as said before definitely has a feel of desperation, "for once in my life, I might just win" very suicidal ring to it, more so than the last section to me, good write.
