Poem of the Birthing Woman
I am opening for you, precious one.
Where heaven meets earth-
the most intimate, sacred chambers
of my body and soul-
there you have been planted
woven together and grown.
This infinitely secret garden of hope in me...
I am opening for you.
To the mysterious ways of The Lord I surrender.
Every hidden and known I've held as my own I relinquish.
I diminish myself to only a bare vessel
for the Almighty Power of God
magnificent and unstoppable.
For you precious one,
who's life is every beautiful promise of Love,
a mere momentary desperate offering
for this gift of He and of You
moving through me.
Blessed am I.
So blessed am I.
-written for the birth of my daughter
Where heaven meets earth-
the most intimate, sacred chambers
of my body and soul-
there you have been planted
woven together and grown.
This infinitely secret garden of hope in me...
I am opening for you.
To the mysterious ways of The Lord I surrender.
Every hidden and known I've held as my own I relinquish.
I diminish myself to only a bare vessel
for the Almighty Power of God
magnificent and unstoppable.
For you precious one,
who's life is every beautiful promise of Love,
a mere momentary desperate offering
for this gift of He and of You

Blessed am I.
So blessed am I.
