You

Woke my heart you numbed my mind
Was that kind.
To make me blind

Flashing light and thunder
Shattered peacefully slumber
You closed my eyes.
With your disguise.

Spoke of love with gentle lies?
A armor of feigned honesty.
A ruse to shed my modesty?

So what am I to you my love .
A marathon and not a sprint.
You present yourself so full of love.
Just give us a hint.

I never begged your heart from you.
Content to be your playmate.
But what you promised to be true
Would turn a heart to hate.

How many  pretty girl has cursed her pretty face.
To be a less attractive mark for lies and quick disgrace.

Do me yet one kindness
For I am yours regardless
Too well bound to flee to grace.
Far to to tight to no more see your face .

What am I to you my love
Just another race?
