So Shall the Parasites...
So shall the parasites who squirm
Through the liquid of brain,
Command our violent exchange...
So shall the parasites who swell the longing tongue,
Demand my duty to increase their perfecting structure...
So shall they enforce wrath mentality
Into the minds of authority to have me destroyed,
Should I protest and refrain...
And so shall the atheist murder the Metaphysician...

Alas! We have stepped off the threshold into the Next Phase...
This is the inaugural posting for the next phase of my works, which I have temporarily appellated "The World of Work ('Hardships and Transitions')". Seeing how I have just come out of a week long battle with a foreign microbial agent of terror, the above piece is most fitting. The title and opening line and flow of the piece (at least for the first few lines) were influenced by the style of Dylan Thomas, one of my principal poetic influences.
It was tough to start this round of poems off. One of the reasons I have been away from posting is that I just couldn't figure out which poems to place for this time period - I went over it quite a few times, scrolling over and over all the works. Unlike the Port Hopeless Era, where I wrote several thousand pages of stuff but only a handful of poems, here during this 6-7 year period I wrote a couple of thousand pages where most of those pages ARE poems! So now the challenge shall be not to find enough of them, but to choose which 40 or 60 to showcase here...
(Actually what really killed me in delaying was that I wanted to start the next phase of postings at the 61st poem, that way I could keep things all neat and tidy, since the Poems on our Profiles here are arranged at 20 poems per page - ie The Green Notebook on page 1, The Port Hopeless Era on pages 2 and 3, etc - I couldn't find any more from the Port Hopeless Era that I wanted to post and I have been trying to fill things up with song recordings which I did at that time - Alas, I couldn't hold it any longer, I broke at the 56th poem! I'm pretty anal about this kind of stuff, almost as bad at times like the famed Dr Sheldon Cooper Phd. Then again, in life and in the sciences, all those nice formulas never do add up to perfect whole numbers - their experimental derivations always go astray around the 9th or 10th decimal places...).
Anyway, I'm glad to be embarking now on this new compass setting, and look forward to sharing much versical goodness with you fine people in the months to come.

An absolutely brilliant poem to start with. My views of both society and biology are now tastefully deranged. I am looking forward to reading what will come to be of your future posts.
