Masks
The masks that people wear
It is truly a horrible scare
It changes every minute
To fit there perfect little lives
In the end they do not know
They comment and criticise
Hoping that the winds of change will blow
But they have lost themselves
Now through the hardship and pain
They stand there like dead in the rain
They hope for the impossible
For a small chance at luck or fate
There lies and half-truths
Has build them a wall so thick
That it blocks out the sky
And all the warmth and light
If only one would have taken off
That horrible mask of lies
And seen or told the truth
He would be freedom we all need
To break our own ties
It is truly a horrible scare
It changes every minute
To fit there perfect little lives
In the end they do not know
They comment and criticise
Hoping that the winds of change will blow
But they have lost themselves
Now through the hardship and pain
They stand there like dead in the rain
They hope for the impossible
For a small chance at luck or fate
There lies and half-truths
Has build them a wall so thick
That it blocks out the sky
And all the warmth and light
If only one would have taken off
That horrible mask of lies
And seen or told the truth
He would be freedom we all need
To break our own ties
