A Burden Of A King
I have hair of amber and brown.
I wear a smile of the saddest frown.
Three years of my life I want back.
The time it took for me to fade to black.
You were my golden desire.
You set my heart on fire.
Now I walk empty hearted through this town.
Burnt to ashes and crumbling down.
You ended up being a liar.
Just like the rest, but you were my deathcab for hire.
My love for you was innocent.
I thought that was evident.
A burden of a king.
Too damaged to sing his melody.
Of the peace he wants to bring.
Is this what you wanted to see?
Your king brought to peasantry?
Now take a bow.
And so me how.
You ever plan to earn my trust again.
This love ties me down with a rusty chain.
