Not Giving In
Rain drops keep falling on my soul
It take in sorrow without letting go
If I'm sad you'll never know
For I am sure that it will grow
This pain I'm feeling from head to toe
Funny how I took that blow
To my mind, body, and soul
Yet I could walk away with a smile
That died when I was alone
Those words you say
They don't go away
And they never will without a doubt
But I'm the brave one
Thinking of sticks and stones
Inside I feel the second verse
A rumor is just like a half lie
But they spread like wild fire
I really want to die
Instead I just lower my head
To the point I know you by your shoes
I don't want to give in
Do what you do but never win
I have not one bit of dignity
I'm collecting my pride
It take in sorrow without letting go
If I'm sad you'll never know
For I am sure that it will grow
This pain I'm feeling from head to toe
Funny how I took that blow
To my mind, body, and soul
Yet I could walk away with a smile
That died when I was alone
Those words you say
They don't go away
And they never will without a doubt
But I'm the brave one
Thinking of sticks and stones
Inside I feel the second verse
A rumor is just like a half lie
But they spread like wild fire
I really want to die
Instead I just lower my head
To the point I know you by your shoes
I don't want to give in
Do what you do but never win
I have not one bit of dignity
I'm collecting my pride
