Let the Darkness Fall
I
Am tired
of trying to run walk and
roll steadfastly into the light
Tired of holding on to false hope
praying that Creator will make it right
Tired of the Motivational Madness
that only works for a few...
After the high wears off
these so called Teachers
are more fucked up
then me OR you....
Tired of troubles
coming by the dozens
Yet the blessings
only come in 2's
Tired of my soul being
battered and abused
While the Devil has his fun
seems like Creator is amused
Yet I refuse...
to yield when evil calls
Now ...
I'm tired
So Let... the Darkness Fall
Let it cover me
pour over me like rain
LET IT DEVOUR ME...
let it absorb all my pain
Because I am tired
Of the American Dream
really being a nightmare
I've worked for 28 years and
still pay out the ass for healthcare
I pay a car note
on a car that shoulda
fuckin been free
As I chant Nam meo ho renga keo
AND OM Brezee
So I wonder...
Why the fuck am I trying so hard
Let the Darkness fall on me
Its not that I'm a quitter
I am a Warrior from my soul
It's just that sometimes all these battles
wear me out... they take there toll
Cause no Matter what I am a mere mortal
Who used to have
Supernatural Intellect
Until this world kept
heaping on the bullshit
Now I suffer soul neglect
Tired of the way life moves
Tired of what it gives...
Even though I strive for more
I have a life... that's hard to live
Tired of running away from the dark
trying not to heed its call
So LET THE[i] DARKNESS COME
