Ignition
I want to lick the inside of your mind,
spark the synapses that make me quiver,
then gorge myself on wild thoughts
reaching the outer limits of a full tank,
pedal down.
Outrun me when the revs are high
because the chase is hot, hard work.
Seconds morph into months,
after days collapse to moments.
Now, now is the point of it all.
Green to go, flashing stripes
at flicker speed stretch to one line
wrapping around every curve.
Deafness crashes in, boulder size
on the cliff route. Tensed swerves -
on the brink of -
here.

Ultra cool - ultra cool ink ... made me think of the late great Steve McQueen metaphorically ... LOVED the second stanza

Hey, Gonzo, thanks for your comments! Appreciate it.
You picked out my fav part, good eye. Yes, now is pretty important, and the most overlooked moment in our every day...
Thank you.
