Be This Tough
Verse 1-
I'm stuck doing the same thing
Day after day
Wake up before the dawn
And unload the hay
Check the coop for eggs
Sit down to eat
But not before I pray
Chorus-
I do another lap around
This sleepy little town
I know it like the back of my hand
I swear one day
I'll get out here man
But every time
I drive to that county line
My tires seize up
Who'd ever thought it'd be this tough
Verse 2-
I ain't saying its all bad
But there's gotta be more out there
I swear I'm gonna find it
Some where
I load up this truck
To try my luck
But I never make it that far
Get caught just outside the bar
Oh
Chorus-
I do another lap around
This sleepy little town
I know it like the back of my hand
I swear one day
I'll get out here man
But every time
I drive to that county line
My tires seize up
Who'd ever thought it'd be this tough
Verse 3-
I'm on that dirt road to freedom
Dust trailing behind me
Going some where none of these folks will ever find me
Oh
Chorus-
I do another lap around
This sleepy little town
I know it like the back of my hand
I swear one day
I'll get out here man
But every time
I drive to that county line
My tires seize up
Who'd ever thought it'd be this tough
I'm stuck doing the same thing
