Am I lost
The man I used to be
No longer to be found
The boy from long ago
Lost to a life
of bad decisions
And regrets
Will I be found
Will someone seek me out
Blinded by the darkness
Of my own decisions
Tracing my steps
To see where I've been
Following a path
Lost long ago
Will I ever see the light
The light of a new me
A man who is happy
Happy with what he's become
Until I find my way out
From the dark woods
I will wander aimlessly
Until exhaustion takes hold
The little boy will sit and cry
Holding tight to his knees
The man will act out
In frustration and despair
Signalling to be found
But going unseen
In a loud, fucked up world
No one had the time to look
Do I really matter
Am I missed by any
Are their lives emptier
When I'm not there
No longer to be found
The boy from long ago
Lost to a life
of bad decisions
And regrets
Will I be found
Will someone seek me out
Blinded by the darkness
Of my own decisions
Tracing my steps
To see where I've been
Following a path
Lost long ago
Will I ever see the light
The light of a new me
A man who is happy
Happy with what he's become
Until I find my way out
From the dark woods
I will wander aimlessly
Until exhaustion takes hold
The little boy will sit and cry
Holding tight to his knees
The man will act out
In frustration and despair
Signalling to be found
But going unseen
In a loud, fucked up world
No one had the time to look
Do I really matter
Am I missed by any
Are their lives emptier
When I'm not there
