More than meets the eye
Come on in and take a look inside
At this dreadful place where my soul once used to reside
Bloody carpet replaced, holes in the wall has been sealed
Doing there best to cover up so past horrors of this house won't be revealed
To you the house looks beautiful but I know the ugly truth that the eyes can't see
So while we tour this house I will tell you the terror inside it that happened to me
In the foyer is where it all started I can still remember the stinging pain
A forceful hand slashed across my cheek as I cried out in vain
This hallway were walking down I was once dragged down by my hair
The scar from the carpet burn is a insecurity of mines so that I will not share
In this living room right where that couch sits is where my bloody body once laid
After I had been beat relentlessly into a bloody mess without anyone to come to my aid
In this kitchen that window was once shattered from a vase aimed at my head
I was cooking and he threw it at me upset that he hadn't yet been fed
Right here in the dining room is where I got my first black eye
Not sure why he hit me that time I was too afraid to ask even more afraid to cry
In this room rage took over him if you look closely you can see the hole he punched in the door
The only reason it wasn't me is because I hid in the closet as I was called every bitch and whore
In the master bedroom is where I spent the majority of my time trying to cry myself to sleep
As he lay peacefully sleeping beside me it took everything within me not to kill that creep
In this bathroom over there in that tub is where I decided to end it all
Filled the tub up with water got in and took a razor slit one wrist then the other it wasn't long before I heard the angels call
At this dreadful place where my soul once used to reside
Bloody carpet replaced, holes in the wall has been sealed
Doing there best to cover up so past horrors of this house won't be revealed
