signed up for heaven

I signed up for heaven,
the other day.

I have to get
three letters of recommendation
from the deceased
and signatures from Jesus
saying I am a saint.

The deceased laughed at me,
and turned me away.

Jesus took my hand,
and told me to pray more often.

So I took my name
off the list to heaven,
and wrote it on my arm
instead.
