I want to trade this dark night
For a star filled night
For one with a luminous Moon
Shedding light everywhere
Able to see it all
Life at night
Life in darkness
A whole other world

Watch as the stars fall
Listen to the owl call
Hear the melody of crickets
Feel the cool air
Get memorized by the shadows

I want to lie on grass
Feel the coolness embrace us
Look up above
And say all that I'm thinking of
I want to laugh as we run
To nowhere in particular
I want to feel your warm hugs
melt away the cold
both on the outside
and the inside

I want to look into your eyes,
And just feel your love.
I want to trade this dark night
For a night in darkness with you
Maybe then the dark won't
