Wall
Wall
Too many walls reside over this land
We pay for them, Cherish them
Hide behind them and collect them
I build my wall from the outside in
seeking refuge from my lies
heart ache and dictated emotions
Build higher, build thick
I don't want to see the space I carved
One day, I will build a door
and show another builder
what color the paint is
Until this day
drywall, wood, brick and stone
is my life
Too many walls reside over this land
We pay for them, Cherish them
Hide behind them and collect them
I build my wall from the outside in
seeking refuge from my lies
heart ache and dictated emotions
Build higher, build thick
I don't want to see the space I carved
One day, I will build a door
and show another builder
what color the paint is
Until this day
drywall, wood, brick and stone
is my life
