Clasping Glass
I feel it dripping in my chest
My heart is beating itself to death
Searching forever for what it is losing
From the inside and out, my blood it is oozing
Leaving creases in my hidden palm
And rapid breathing in my lungs
Tears streaming, landing neatly
But right now I feel I’m drowning
It wasn’t him but them who broke my heart
They couldn't understand, so they kept us appart
But if he can’t have me, no one can
This broken hearts, like clasping glass
My heart is beating itself to death
Searching forever for what it is losing
From the inside and out, my blood it is oozing
Leaving creases in my hidden palm
And rapid breathing in my lungs
Tears streaming, landing neatly
But right now I feel I’m drowning
It wasn’t him but them who broke my heart
They couldn't understand, so they kept us appart
But if he can’t have me, no one can
This broken hearts, like clasping glass
