APRIL’S FOOL

Just because I loved her so
Did I have to forfeit my mischievous soul?

All I did was pull a simple April fool’s joke
I never imagined the anger it would provoke

Staying overnight for a little sex
I put my clandestine plan
Into effect!

When she awoke, to her unpleasant surprise
I switched her panties with an identical pair
But of a much smaller size

Pulling and tugging to make them fit
When her frustration became apparent
I then applied my sober wit

I suggested her altered figure
From my observatory perspective
Was due to her butt getting bigger

I begged her to stop her fighting
And succumb to the fact
That instead she consider dieting

Holy Shit!
Did she get pissed!

When I confessed that I pranked her
In the spirit of April 1st
It only infuriated her anger

And Sweet Jesus, it got even worse!

Is there no humor between lovers and friends?
Obviously not, for when she walked out the door
I never saw her face again
