Cornered
That girl in the corner
she sits there every day
I know because I'm always here
thinking of what I can say.
That girl that sits in the corner,
she seems to be waiting for something;
a friend, a boyfriend, a girlfriend perhaps,
that's too bold for me to think.
The girl in the corner seems sadder
as the days and weeks pass by,
she seemed so hopeful at the start
but now it looks like she's about to cry.
Should I go talk to her?
her corner looks like a fortress,
where no one can invade,
like those that hold a princess in distress.

thinking of what I can say.
