The Mask
I find myself daydreaming
As if I was lost in a trance
I hear somebody screaming
And by the hour, their voices enhance
I've been living a lie
There's this mask I wear
I can't even look myself in the eye
The voices are starting to tear
Tear right through my flesh and soul
It's trying to discover what's inside
To find what's beneath my mask is it's goal
Just to see that it has died
See, I've hidden behind my mask for so long
I don't even know what's inside anymore
So I pack my bowl, and take a rip off the bong
Just to find my inner core
But sometimes I feel it's buried in so deep
That I need a reminder that it's even there
The truth sleeps, as my lies seep
Then I remember there's nobody there to care
As if I was lost in a trance
I hear somebody screaming
And by the hour, their voices enhance
I've been living a lie
There's this mask I wear
I can't even look myself in the eye
The voices are starting to tear
Tear right through my flesh and soul
It's trying to discover what's inside
To find what's beneath my mask is it's goal
Just to see that it has died
See, I've hidden behind my mask for so long
I don't even know what's inside anymore
So I pack my bowl, and take a rip off the bong
Just to find my inner core
But sometimes I feel it's buried in so deep
That I need a reminder that it's even there
The truth sleeps, as my lies seep
Then I remember there's nobody there to care
