In the Night

The sun rises in the day
Gives light unto the world
Let's you see the man
Behind the  mask
The sun  sets as darkness
Starts to creep
Bringing the moon's light
Which illuminates the slightest thing
Keeps secrets safe
Keeps things unseen
The innocent silvery light
Shines sweet unknowingly
Secrets kept in shadows
Pulsing through the  night
Nightmares and cries of pain
Sink beneath your feet
As the sun comes to arise
Bringing the light into the
Dark
As the shadows sink
Beneath your feet
Waiting once more
Until the light becomes the dark
