Chill me to the bone
Re: chill me to the bone
Looking out the big window in this old house my eyes betrayed me. It was a cold winters evening, the ground covered in a blanket of snow. I believed I saw a form, a slow movement of sorts but no foot marks in the snow. I opened the front door for a better view but it was gone, or never there.
It was getting chilly inside so I gathered some fire wood be side the old pot belly stove to warm me but it didn't seem to get warm. There are many cracks and drafts in this old, worn down place out in the woods. I was a bit confused on why I was back in this place after so many years but I was
cold and I was very tired so I didn't give it much thought.
I laid on the floor in front of the big window and there again was the form I saw just minutes before. It seemed to be calling me to come out
side, it certainly got my attention as it motioned for me to open the door and so that's what I did. I didn't stay out long and once again I was in front of the big window looking out and I \l "saw no foot prints in the snow where I had been standing. It was then I saw my reflection on the glass, a grey figure and that figure was me, my feet were not touching the ground
