Spring in Winter

In with the winter came something that felt like spring
Outside the trees were dying
but in my heart flowers were blooming
The sky was grey and looked like death
but her smile looked alive as it shined with light like the sun
The silence of the woods as animals began to sleep
didn't compare to a contagious laughter that kept me awake
While the changing colors of my surroundings went from bright to gloomy
I was growing a garden within my self that happened to get bigger with her loving smile and selfless help
