"An Admonition."
If only thisnation had the
spirit of ancient Nineveh
and would return in
humbleness and humility,
then her days might
continue indefinitely
But instead she wears
her shame which should
be shunned as a crown,
arrogantly
Jonah preached and they
repented and their hearts
returned to righteousness,
averting pending judgments
But foolish Sodom and
Gomorrah would not heed
instruction and faced fiery
retribution
Because her sins reached
unto the Heaven's and tipped
the balances to iniquity from
the security of Righteousness
And Abraham spoke to the
Lord on her behalf desiring
that He would intervene if
enough Righteousness was
among her inhabitants
But we know and this
historical story is an example
for the world to learn from
It seems as though the same
is happening here and a stern
message is becoming clear
If the scales were visible, which
way would we see them tilted
Towards Righteousness that
saves a city or Sin that is a
reproach to any nation
