Thank you, John, for your thoughtful comment! Was on the threshold to sleep when it came to my mind, got up and scribbled it down :-).

That's right, an easy way to produce something new :-). When the brain is unwound (hm ... is THAT possible with regard to the cerebral gyri?) or let's better say relaxed, everything is possible.

Glad you like it, J.! 'beautifully disturbing' sounds really appealing since it's exactly the sentiment I wanted to convey.

I liked how you used 'bridging', with that word somehow it doesn't seem like such a sad reality even if it may be for some.

You always have the choice to cross the bridge unharmed, though the point, where the rainbow starts to descend, is often the sticking point. Thanks for your great comment, Vee!

Wow! ... I didn't see that leap coming in this piece; and the reality is - most don't ... Marvelously crafted Miss Chiyo

No, fortunately most don't but many, at least literally, plunge from cloud nine into reality. Your kind comment is always most welcome!

Yes, it's never quite imperilous to teeter on the brink of the abyss, all the more when you suffer from acrophobia (I mean, a rainbow IS high above), sadly. But your comment, of which I'm thankful, is dead-on. The view, however, might compensate for a possible plunge and a hard landing :-).

A painting of the rainbow? But don't forget to paint the deads, too! Thanks, Le Fay, for commenting!
