Bitterness and Regrets
Tearing my sanity apart
Much like my heart
Tattered and jagged remnants
Of what I used to represent
A soul left to wander
Alienated and squandered
Berated and abused
Nothing left to lose
I thought love was the key
To unlocking a happier me
But it only hurts me more
Empty promises litter the floor
I keep putting my heart on the line
It comes back smaller each time
Soon there will be nothing left
Just bitterness and regrets
