I crawled my way out of the dark hole
That was my life
Ive gotten through a mental illness
I was in distress
I am as happy as a kid that gets icecream
My situation wasn’t a dream
It was a nightmare that I experienced in reality
This was depression
I learnt a lot of lessons
I used to have so much water falling from my eyes that it could form a sea
But now I am a girl that knows the power of my mind is the key
To whether I am positive or negative
Supportive or indecisive
My eyes now light up
They shine from the happiness inside
I’ve overcome something that I never thought I could
But my family and true friends new I would
I know that the bad is only temporary
Help from a professional was my remedy.
