The Lucky Ones
Day after day
I dread the next morning
Having to wake up to sunshine
And birds singing
Making the world seem so happy
Making the world seem perfect
But it is far from it
I hate the world
I envy those who are so happy
The ones who actually feel like they have
Something to live for
Motivation to get out of bed each day
Instead of dreading
Every moment they have to be awake
Every moment they spend
Secretly hiding their pain
Every moment they just want to die
Every moment they are trying not to break down
And cry
For they are the lucky ones
Who live their lives
In happiness
Instead of in pain
I dread the next morning
Having to wake up to sunshine
And birds singing
Making the world seem so happy
Making the world seem perfect
But it is far from it
I hate the world
I envy those who are so happy
The ones who actually feel like they have
Something to live for
Motivation to get out of bed each day
Instead of dreading
Every moment they have to be awake
Every moment they spend
Secretly hiding their pain
Every moment they just want to die
Every moment they are trying not to break down
And cry
For they are the lucky ones
Who live their lives
In happiness
Instead of in pain
