tapestries of nature

life breaking through the waves;
tenacious life, moving throughout the world
weaving tapestries of nature’s own dawn
provisional shame in lustful gain of contemptible men.
thieving from the night sky – her thunder lyre and song,
their jackets of fear made delightful and holy
begging to stop the pain in promises of death.
all forgotten in nostalgic charm; lest we forget
alas we draw a breath of celestial calm

one thousand years of celestial breath
count the days, then count one billion gone.
It’s all there in the nomadic plagues
all halting the year you were born
the seconds are all there and accounted for
in the grains of sands that Gilgamesh bore,
for you are ageless and walking on water
only one second before you go under; alas a breath is drawn.
