Never Forget.
Both of us
Were young. Fresh from
Mother nature's womb, still
Craving the soft and undying warmth
Of her heartbeat
Our souls flowed
From the same river.
Made from the same water
That washed over us as we danced
In the rain.
Even when we lost
Each other, you always found me;
I always found you. A connection
So unfaltering, so magical.
Alas, we were young.
And though our bond seemed
Unbreakable, the inevitable
Tides of life tore your soul
From mine.
But I'll never forget you. I'll never forget the way my heart fluttered as it strived to match the rhythm of yours.
