Christmas Nightmare !

  Christmas Nightmare.

Silent night .
Holy night
My pocket is empty .
And no funds insight.
Babies crying no food on the shelves.
Watching shopping ads on television at midnight.
My heart and my head are at war.
Can't buy toys this Christmas .
Sadly I'm the  Grinch this time around.


Carols of hope and love play repeatedly in my ears .
But love can do nothing with hungry kids to feed.
Pastors preaching loudly about Christmas cheer .
Still no one offers a helping hand.
Feeling useless . Helpless burdened heavy with shame .
Stomach growling loudly .
While coldness freezes my brain .


Laid off and looked upon with disgust.
My family is broken and I have lost all of their trust .
I was labelled provider .Father and protector .
Bank accounts empty only in God I put my trust.
Lights are off and candles almost out .
Wondering to myself is this it ?
Well , this life and living is not enough.
Silent Night .
Not a moon in sight .
Babies are cold trembling like leaves.
Crying themselves  to sleep , while hunger strikes.



Wife looks at me with hatred .
Wondering when this madness will end.
Would life ever be good to me again.
My strength is now gone .
I'm weary and drained .
Will this silent night ever bring happiness our way.
Bills keeps coming .
Bill collectors are howling .
And the feeling of uselessness is not going away.
In the beginning life was great now I can't stand to live .
Would I ever be able to look in the mirror again.



Keep your silent nights .
Forget Old St. Nick .
To hell with Rudolph .
And chestnuts roasting bright.
Nothing can take away my pain on this silent night.
Moon shining brightly .
Stars dancing in the sky.
While shadows moves at a glance
in the twinkling of light .
Tears rolling down my cheeks .
In the darkness of the night.
Wishing that someone would hear my plea in the silence of the night.
