Dying
Today I have suffered
more than yesterday; I observe,
terrified of what lies along my path, my way--
My knees are weaker and my burdens heavier
Tell me dear reader, what awaits us, if not disaster !
My forelock deepens--darkens--
As i have stayed long in the dark, so it harkens,
As for the shadows casted
on the wall in the cave; How shall I, my soul, "save" ?
I am now too soft-- softened by tolerance--
Oh friend, do you have a little glue to borrow?
Compassion, sympathy, prayer, love, sorrow?
Cause sooner or later, I am bound to break,
The angel of death, my soul will take.
