Waterfall to Infinity
It was a waterfall
I had thought I'd reached the end
But riptides are disguised so mysteriously beneath the white
Foaming
A ravenous beast
And its ceaseless consumption
Has devoured me
Acid smoke
Chronic illness to which I am predisposed
Comatose
It is the heaviness on my lids
Slowing the blinks until all I see are
The ironclad handcuffs
Made in memory of me
I had thought I'd reached the end
But riptides are disguised so mysteriously beneath the white
Foaming
A ravenous beast
And its ceaseless consumption
Has devoured me
Acid smoke
Chronic illness to which I am predisposed
Comatose
It is the heaviness on my lids
Slowing the blinks until all I see are
The ironclad handcuffs
Made in memory of me
