Burden

You're the load upon my back.
The thoughtless rider with a heavy fully loaded pack.
You're the obligation that nags oppressively.
The encumbrance of all things crippled, finding the simplest of things to be laced with difficulty.
You're the child suckling at his mothers breast.
Overly nourished, consuming without rest.
And this burden I possess
because of you gives me such stress
that my body is a mess
and there's pains in my chest.
Hard to breath, I've been yoked
like a dumb animal. You choke
me and abuse me, then make me carry your loads.
Make me do as I am told.
Make me carry your sacks,
your burdens upon my back.
When I begin to buckle, you appear on bended knee.
You cunningly twist every word and plea
"You MUST be my shoulder, you have to help me!
No other can help carry my load so easily!"
Like a domesticated horse, I let you load on your pack
Once again I've been fooled into carrying your sacks.
Suffering because of the courage that I lack.
Forever bearing your loads on my back.
