I’ve come to realize that anything worth getting takes time
So as I review my words and write my rhymes
I won’t even try to act like I’m not feeling you
And it feels like I’ve been down this road before
But I think you can rewrite my past feelings with time
And now it’s like I can’t find the words to describe
All of the things I like about you
But with that same time
I can write down what we have in common
Very fed up with all of our past errors
Not seeing a clear reflection when we’re walking past mirrors
Been bitten by the lies of past relationships and it hurt so much
The thought of giving another a chance left a feeling of disgust
Situations leaving us in a place where you don’t know who to trust
But I’ll keep it real with you regardless because I have faith in us
So if you hold me

Until you give me the whole you

Then we have a chance at love
