Vital Organs
Hope it's not me, tearing out of your lungs
Is it a charm, that's blinking inside my arms?
The letters arise, form words we don't know
How can you repay, something you don't owe?
Vital signs, lower as we feel our bones break
I never knew, cause every night I was awake
A pillar of dirt, accumulating deep in our hearts
How can I fix up all the little broken parts?
Endless nights in pointless beds
Each of our minds somewhere else
Rise, I thought I'd heard again
And it's most of the love you gain
That you can trade in for life
It makes sense, that your heart lacks a beat
When you are away life seems to be complete
Tears gather round a lost, never ending well
It isn't you, it is the secrets you won't tell
Fake arms take over painless legs
You got me staring at the edge
Churn, when the world says I'm done
No wonder I am on my own
No wonder I am alone
No wonder you are gone
Is it a charm, that's blinking inside my arms?
The letters arise, form words we don't know
How can you repay, something you don't owe?
Vital signs, lower as we feel our bones break
I never knew, cause every night I was awake
A pillar of dirt, accumulating deep in our hearts
How can I fix up all the little broken parts?
Endless nights in pointless beds
Each of our minds somewhere else
Rise, I thought I'd heard again
And it's most of the love you gain
That you can trade in for life
It makes sense, that your heart lacks a beat
When you are away life seems to be complete
Tears gather round a lost, never ending well
It isn't you, it is the secrets you won't tell
Fake arms take over painless legs
You got me staring at the edge
Churn, when the world says I'm done
No wonder I am on my own
No wonder I am alone
No wonder you are gone
