STUPID EGO

All he always said was “his taking his time
His missing rib” with ease he believes he will find
So for many years in front of him she was but he was blind
Never summoned the courage to let her know what was on his mind
Felt she would always be there and meant for him by God’s design
Ignored friends’ advices telling him to express his feelings to her
Coz to his strong faith of believing she would never leave him he resigned

Took her as just a friend when what she expected from him was much more
Coz every woman needs some loving and a man to make her feel secure
He got it all wrong thinking he was being real with her with intentions so pure
He seldom gave her sweet compliments but he was with her every single hour
She needed kisses and warm hugs from a man who can even be sending her flowers
Satisfying her desires, caring & romantic enough to scrub her back when she showers

That I guess he knew but wasn’t always willing to do; taking her for granted
While in the eyes of other men she was a beauty queen and the most wanted
She’s just a friend” but when other men approached her with jealousy he reacted
Not willing to let her go, not willing to let his feelings show
She needed a man that will always make her smile whenever she feels sad and blue
Understanding was lacking between them coz how to please her he had no clue
She often needs a man to hold her close when the nights get cold
He was nonchalant to her feelings and emotions coz he wasn’t bold
Not Man enough she felt he was coz all along he couldn’t let his feelings show
She knew he was in love with her but she wanted him to let her know
She’s a lady ageing starts and time flies she couldn’t take her life slow

Another man came along from nowhere and stole her heart away
Packed up her things coz were she was love wasn’t found and she can’t stay
That’s how we men sometimes lose opportunities every single day
Learn to cherish what you’ve got not until it’s gone
They say you don’t miss your water until the well runs dry
Let’s show love to those who mean the most to us while we still got the chance
