PATHETICALLY INLOVE
You thought that problems are just a test,
That it’s a part of the loving process,
That is also why you’re ignoring all the signs,
Even there all laid in front of your eyes.
Whatever he does you’re willing to forgive,
Willing to forget every mistake he commits,
Because you believe that he’s only human,
That he’s not perfect just like other men.
Somebody saw him so sweet with someone else,
You asked and he said just one of his friends,
Even though you feel that he is lying,
You are still denying the odd feeling.
Before, you were seeing each other often,
And when you’re not together he’s texting,
But now he can’t even ask if you’re okay,
You’re convincing yourself maybe he’s just busy.
He told you once that you are cute when you’re jealous,
Now he gets irritated when you ask questions,
You can sense it that he is really changing,
But again you’re making an alibi for him.
Something’s going on but you’re not so sure,
Because you feel he’s not as sweet as before,
So you kissed him the sweetest way you could,
But he’s tired, said he’s not on the mood.
You caught that someone is texting him,
You confronted him and start asking,
He got mad telling it’s your dirty mind again,
And you feel guilty then started apologizing.
Even though you feel that he’s cheating on you,
You’re still saying “no”, that it’s not true,
You don’t listen on what your mind’s telling,
You don’t believe what your instinct’s saying.
You can’t take it anymore so you start asking,
Telling him your issues while tears are falling,
But instead of being sympathetic,
He told you to stop being a melodramatic.
When you’re in a situations like above,
No doubt that you’re pathetically in love,
Coz if you’re suffering these kinds of symptoms,
Then you’re experiencing the martyrdom syndrome.
That it’s a part of the loving process,
That is also why you’re ignoring all the signs,
Even there all laid in front of your eyes.
