Farewell my Love
Where the darkest green of deep late summer meets autumn’s first bronzed hue
Upon some gentle hillside dear that’s where I’ll wait for you,
Overlooking fields of harvest gold that sweep down to the sea
That is where you’ll find me love, that is where I’ll be
Grieve not for me my darling because I went before,
Weep not for me my dearest love we’ll meet again once more
Our earthly life together may have run its course
But remember all the joys we shared no sorrow, no remorse
For upon that hillside darling you will one day join me
In joy then will out spirits merge for all eternity
For all eternity my love. in everlasting bliss
Great love forever we'll enjoy God’s soft eternal kiss
So meet me where the hillside sweeps gently to the sea
Or on some shady river bank where once we roamed so free
Be joyful for me darling, live not your life in pain
But laugh for me and smile for me until we meet again.
