I'M READY

I’m ready to live; I’m not ready yet to die
I’m not ready to give up; I’m ready to always try
I’m ready to take charge of my destiny & never ask why
I’m ready to ‘‘fall in love’’ it’s a sacrifice; who is willing to catch me
I’m ready to say I do’’ but it’s hard to find someone to match me
I’m ready to be yours but now I feel lost it’s kinda hard to find me
I’m ready to let go my past but it’s hard to put some things behind me
I’m ready to forgive and forget
But some memories never die the pains caused leaves scars that remind me
I’m ready to swallow the bitter truth and never allow lies and deceit blind me
I’m ready to change from my old ways and become a better man starting all over again
I’m ready to believe and never doubt; the sun will always shine after the storm and rain
I’m ready to apologize; I’m remorseful saying I’m sorry to all those I’ve caused pain
I’m ready to show more understanding in every situation and reduce how I complain
I’m ready to embrace unity, peace, happiness and love for one another saying no to war
I’m ready to be kind and caring with a charitable heart towards the plight of the poor
I’m ready to be a role model, living my life by example practising what I preach
I’m ready to be liberal, accepting knowledge and words of wisdom if you’re willing to teach
I’m ready to be the support and shoulder for you to lean on; for those who are weak
I’m ready to be the voice of the downtrodden; the oppressed who are scared to speak
I’m ready to be a soldier, ready to sacrifice; fighting for justice and equality for all
I’m ready to act, I’m ready to stand up & fight for my rights if I’m pushed against the wall
I’m ready to share, I’m ready to care; I’m ready to be there in your trying times of despair
I’m ready to put a smile on your face; if I can I’ll be glad to wipe away all your tears
I’m ready to put words of courage in your heart to make you brave to conquer all your fears
I’m ready to inspire, motivate & strengthen your faith; believe you can achieve all your heart desires
I’m ready to be the fuel you need to keep your light burning and never quench your dreams fire
I’m ready to be humane, I’m ready to be human; accept me just the way I am coz I’m not perfect
I’m ready to be criticised & chastised if I’m wrong please don’t hesitate to show me what is correct
I’m ready to be rational and fair in making decisions; my pride and dignity I’m ready to protect
I’m ready to reciprocate genuine honour and give whoever is due his/her rightful respect
I’m ready to recognise and obey the laws if they are fair, right and just
I’m ready to be humble & patient to prove myself worthy if that’s what it will take to earn your trust
