Sorrow and Wrath
A quill dripped in blood
Penning sorrows drowned in flood
Of tears that quake
The footfalls beneath
In hours of wake.
Hollow and alone
Feeling the aches in my bones
Long are hours
In the dead of night
When wine turns sour.
Can she see me now
With my face beneath the cowl?
Shame I have felt
From the blood I've shed
Laceration self.
To walk in the night
In the shadows with no light
To show my path
That I walk alone
With sorrow and wrath.
Penning sorrows drowned in flood
Of tears that quake
The footfalls beneath
In hours of wake.
Hollow and alone
Feeling the aches in my bones
Long are hours
In the dead of night
When wine turns sour.
Can she see me now
With my face beneath the cowl?
Shame I have felt
From the blood I've shed
Laceration self.
To walk in the night
In the shadows with no light
To show my path
That I walk alone
With sorrow and wrath.
