The Friend Zone

I always think i'm gonna make it to the end zone

But instead I just get stuck in the friend zone

The pretend zone

Pretending everything’s alright

But then again I just might

Fall apart from my plight



The friend zone



Where there’s no end in sight

To this darkest of nights

Walking around in circles

Trying to find the light

But ill just end up right…



Back in the friend zone



And until the end of time

When I’m declined

From the confines of my mind

I will never find the reason why

Hope walked off and left me behind



In the friend zone



And one thing I find very strange

Is how suddenly things change

Like how we used to chat all night on the phone

But now it’s like something from the twilight zone

It’s like the face of time and space is rearranged



But although we may not understand each other

Ill find my way out of the friend zone
