How to awaken
Those so deep in sleep
Running around
Like lost little sheep

I try to explain
The truth about life
Blinded by illusions
They remain blithe

Buying and selling
Gossip and sports
Trivial matters
Attract these cohorts

Bitch and blame
Argue and fight
In Gods name they kill
Claiming the right

Wake up little sheep
Open your eyes
Stop telling yourselves
These made up lies

Think for a moment
Who stands to gain
In a world where so many
Are living in pain

We are all connected
At our very core
Those who suffer
Can not be ignored

Heed the warning
The moment draws near
We shall wake up to love
Or perish in fear
